About this photograph

I arrived at DeKorte Park in Lyndhurst before sunrise one December morning to photograph wildlife, only to find the gate still closed. While I waited, a train passed on the Main/Bergen County Line. With only my 200–600mm wildlife lens, I framed the tracks leading toward Manhattan, their rails catching the dawn light as the train headed toward Secaucus Junction. It wasn’t the photograph I went out for, but it became one of my favorites.
